Description: A friend kindly invited me stalking and I got my first buck this season. This is beautiful ground with plenty of deer on it, but trees need protected and deer numbers controlled and I was told to shoot any buck. I saw a doe at first light, too dark to film her and then a very nice old 6-pointer, but he got my wind before I could take the rifle not to mention camera. Later on a young buck still in velvet appeared just behind the doe box I was sitting in and also got my wind... I just managed to grab my rifle and pull the trigger when he paused in a gap between the trees, but no chance to film the shot... sorry... Shame the 6-pointer earlier never gave me a chance... The young buck weight 31lbs clean, forestry roe I usually shoot would have weight 20-25 tops, just shows how good this ground is... Thanks for invitation mate, really enjoyed the morning.
